Multilingualism for a Sustainable Society

Il progetto “Multilingualism for a sustainable society” è un progetto Erasmus+ e ci vedrà coinvolti per tre in anni in attività in collaborazione con 

 

1. l'Università di Lund – Svezia
2. Gymnasieskolan Spyken di Lund, Svezia “Gymnasieskolan Spyken, an upper secondary public school for general education founded more than 150 years ago, has a long history of high academic achievement and good results. Our school is situated in the centre of Lund - a university town in the south of Sweden. At the moment we are just above 1,200 students and 110 teachers out of 150 members of staff.”
3. Erzbischöfliches St. Irmengard-Gymnasium di Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germania; scuola privata cattolica: lingue e studi sociali; “The St.-Irmengard-Gymnasium is a catholic secondary school for girls, which is situated in an agricultural area (mostly milk producing farms) and the mountainous region also lives on tourism (winter sports and trekking). The school has about 535 pupils and 60 teachers.”
4. Agrupamento de Escolas Latino Coelho di Lamego, Portogallo: scuola professionale; “We are a big, public organization which includes both pre-school, primary (pupils aged 6-10), middle school (pupils aged 11-16) and secondary level. We have vocational and professional courses and adult education. There are about 2000 students. “

 Incarichi dei docenti:

Garelli: coordinatore; supervisione delle attività; creazione  e gestione del blog di progetto, creazione dei questionnaire che dovremo creare per il progetto prima di ogni singolo incontro internazionale;

Merciaro: vice-coordinatore; organizzazione e gestione contatti con l'università e con le autorità locali; supervisione delle attività;

Consiglio: digitalizzazione dei prodotti e delle lezioni che dovremo organizzare, disseminazione del progetto con articoli da mandare ai giornali, post sul blog del progetto, prima e dopo gli incontri, rapporti con il DSGA; 

Caporale, Licursi: organizzazione e gestione attività e lezioni di spagnolo, collaborazione attività da organizzare per il meeting in Italia, collaborazione blog di progetto

Del Vecchio, Malandra: organizzazione e gestione attività e lezioni di  tedesco; collaborazione attività da organizzare per il meeting in Italia,  collaborazione blog di progetto

Nuccitelli, Lancia: organizzazione e gestione attività e lezioni di  francese, collaborazione attività da organizzare per il meeting in Italia, collaborazione blog di progetto

Ogni anno si svolgeranno tre incontri, uno per soli docenti e due per 3 docenti e 3 alunni (si valuterà se sarà il caso di aumentare il numero degli alunni nell'incontro di Lund), teoricamente uno (un docente e un alunno) per ogni singola lingua: “The aim for the project is to develop work methods that teachers of 3 different languages will share and use at 4 different schools, at levels A2-B2. The participants in the activities will be students in language classes of French, German and Spanish and the teachers of these languages in the partner schools. The student participants will be assigned out of interest in language learning, to have all 3 languages represented. We will reach for diversity in the selection. Visiting teachers will teach classes in the host country to test activities and give authenticity to the classroom environment, and visiting students will participate in classes for the same reasons. Each workshop will lead to an assignment to be carried out by teachers and students in the language classes at home. The assignments and methods tested will be evaluated by the students, teachers and the researchers from the universities connected to the project.”

Per quanto riguarda la disponibilità a viaggiare per l'incontro dal 25 al 27 settembre di Lund dal nostro incontro è emerso quanto segue: si si sono dichiarati disponibili a partecipare all'incontro

1. (molto probabilmente) partirà il DS (o comunque si è riservato di scegliere qualcuno a rappresentarlo)
2. E. Del Vecchio per tedesco,
3. M. Lancia per Francese,
4. R. Merciaro per spagnolo,
5. il DSGA.

Per eventuali defezioni, si sceglierà in seguito.

Sarà ovviamente il nostro DS a vagliare tutte le disponibilità e approvarle.

Per l'acquisto dei biglietti dobbiamo aspettare comunicazioni dalla scuola svedese, perché questo progetto pur essendo un KA2 non è esattamente come gli altri Erasmus (visto che è coinvolta l'Università di Lund) e la gestione amministrativa è diversa, comunque arriveranno istruzioni.

Per questo primo incontro non si deve preparare niente di particolare, ma dobbiamo presentare sinteticamente il nostro primo incontro che dovrà fungere da modello per gli altri.

Il primo incontro docenti/alunni si svolgerà a Pescara, probabilmente dal 11 al 15 dicembre, la data esatta verrà ufficializzata appunto nell'incontro di settembre di Lund.

Noi abbiamo sostanzialmente questo incarico: “LICEO STATALE "GUGLIELMO MARCONI", Italy, will be responsible for the creation of questionnaires for the evaluations and a newsletter.” oltre ovviamente all'organizzazione dell'incontro in Italia e all'organizzazione delle attività per ogni altro singolo incontro.

Il tema generale è questo: "Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning."

ma è solo il titolo, i workshop possiamo organizzarli come vogliamo.

Rosanna Merciaro si occuperà  di contattare i responsabili dell'Università di Pescara per organizzare le attività che dovrà svolgere qualcuno dell'Università, almeno una conferenza sul tema dell'insegnamento delle lingue.

Ogni gruppo di lingua dovrà organizzare un workshop per diffondere le buone pratiche nell'insegnamento delle lingue (si può chiedere ovviamente la partecipazione di altri docenti del relativo dipartimento). Tale workshop dovrà essere il più possibile coinvolgente per gli alunni e docenti stranieri, si devono evitare quindi la conferenza o la semplice esposizione di software e/o attività didattica. Non dimentichiamo che i prodotti presentati dovranno essere digitalizzati e pronti per l'incontro in Italia, quindi bisognerà consegnarli a Teresa Consiglio, responsabile per la digitalizzazione dei prodotti, con un buon periodo di tempo in anticipo e non all'ultimo momento.

Come si è visto ho aperto una chat su Whatsapp per il gruppo, ovviamente se qualcuno non volesse partecipare può semplicemente abbandonarla. Ritengo però che sia il modo più facile per la comunicazione veloce.

Cercherò di mettere tutto il materiale e le comunicazioni varie su questo blog; sarebbe opportuno che tutti accettassero l'invito a diventare collaboratori, vi darà la possibilità di partecipare scrivendo dei post con la vostra firma.

Questo è quanto ci si aspetta venga fuori dal progetto:

“- An open website or blog created to report the progress of the project and serve as inspiration and guide for teachers/teacher training students/students also after the end of the project, eg. when creating new projects.

- Improved knowledge and practice of a web-based platform for collaborative international work.

- A guide for on-line teaching methods and ICT for work to be used as a long term activity bank, applicable in any of the languages involved, and published on the website.

- Videos made by students, separately and together across borders, about: stimulation/motivation/expectations/changes/suggestions. These will be published on the Youtube-channel and on the website.

- Articles written by students and teachers in all languages involved and published on the website.

- Collaborative learning between teachers of the participant schools will develop teaching skills for stimulating language learning.

- Collaborative learning between students of the participating schools will increase their motivation and results in the subjects involved in the project.

- Student participation in running the project in the local management group will strengthen stimulation and motivation among students and the implementation of the work methods.

- Strengthened collaboration between partner schools, universities and teacher training schools with an opportunity for future research in the field of education, in particular languages.

- The mobilities will create a positive atmosphere between the school communities, underline the importance of inclusion and enhance the European togetherness.

- For both students and teachers will reach improved competences in ICT.

- The mobilities will make it possible to evaluate how the methods are adaptable in different environments.

- The results will be spread within our schools, to other schools in the area, to university colleagues, to the teacher training schools and students and to the public through the open web-site created, the Facebook group, the Youtube channel, the eTwinning platform and articles in the local media of the partner countries.

- Research and future research at the universities connected to the project, based on the outcome of this project.”
